Exit Stage Left are an award winning theatre company based in the Norton Radstock area, near Bath. They perform a selection of shows each year, varying from musicals and cabarets to straight plays and fundraisers. They have a large active membership, ranging from ten to thirty years old.
Blobble have worked closely with Exit Stage Left for many years now, supporting the group with marketing campaigns to advertise their productions. When we first got involved with the group, we were given free reign to produce professional looking publicity material, which we have done now for a large number of productions.
We started by re-creating the group’s logo, based on an emergency exit sign, which was then incorporated on to letterheads, mugs, mousemats and embroidered onto a range of tshirts, polo shirts and hoodies. The logo has also featured prominently on most publicity material to date.
Blobble were asked to create a leaflet and poster design for the group’s production of ‘Just So’, a musical based on the famous Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling. We created a stunning design, with eye catching graphics and an overall ‘comic’ look. The use of animal print within the title text carried through the themes of the show itself, with all supporting information fitting into the design neatly. Blobble have received great feedback on the design, some even going as far as to say that our efforts were more impressive than that of the original professional production. We were also asked to design and produce the A5 sized programme for the show, co-ordinating the advertising within. The programmes again received excellent feedback from the cast/crew, audience and the businesses/friends that had taken advertising space.
We were thrilled to be nominated for, and win the Bristol Evening Post Rose Bowl Award for best publicity material, for the work we produced on Exit Stage Left’s production of ‘Honk’. For further information on this achievement, please click here.
